Sunscreen that I was using that is sort of okay caused a horrible reaction two days ago, and I still have awful burns and contact dermatitis. It coincided with being reactive from food, and so now I just think that the sunscreen is constantly causing some issues, it is just low grade usually.

Finished A Letter of Mary, and I fear that this might be the end of the line for me. The construction of the case and its conclusion felt rather arbitrary. Instead, the focus was on questions of theology and continuing some of the commentary on women in the bible from the previous book.

The symphony I play with will be performing with a pipe organist at our upcoming concert, and I am very excited to play in the space with the pipe organ. For rehearsal, we have to make do with a piano, though. XD Tonight, we worked on this (the second movement of Saint-Saéns' 3rd Symphony)

Doggo struggles to socialize at the dog park, engages in repetitive self stimulatory behaviors (tail wagging), is obsessed with specific stuffed animals, and has difficulty with bath time. 😌
Forget for a moment how nightmarishly hideous a disease rabies is, or that vaccines=autism is a flagrant lie. How on earth would you tell if your dog had autism? What, he won't sustain eye contact? He's too interested in odd things? He won't talk to you?
May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies.
May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism.
This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs.
Vaccinate your pets please.

Journalists & politicians should make clear that this is a false distinction: runaway climate change obviously does & will make groceries, home insurance & electricity, among other things, more expensive, never mind the cost—ultimately reflected in higher taxes—of disaster relief

FOSS4GE 2025 | Adapting Legacy Code with Boost.Geometry: A Hydrographic Perspective
QPS maintains a substantial legacy codebase of approximately 5.5 million lines of code, developed over the past 35 years to collect, process, analyze, and deliver hydrographic spatial data. Updating this codebase to incorporate new libraries often requires significant refactoring to accommodate new data types.
Recently, we successfully transitioned from an in-house solution to `Boost.Geometry` for spatial indexing. This transition required far less refactoring than anticipated, primarily due to `Boost.Geometry`'s ability to adapt to our existing geometry types.
`Boost.Geometry`'s geometry types are concrete implementations of "concepts," which facilitate the adaptation of user-defined geometry types to seamlessly integrate with its algorithms and spatial indexing features.
In this presentation, I will:
- Provide an overview of the unique spatial data we handle in hydrography.
- Share our success story of transitioning to `Boost.Geometry`.
- Discuss how `Boost.Geometry` enabled us to generalize our spatial indexing.
- Demonstrate, through a brief code example, how to use concepts to adapt existing types for use with `Boost.Geometry`.
Join me to learn how `Boost.Geometry` can streamline your transition to modern spatial indexing solutions while minimizing codebase disruption.
