Today you should send love to your trans friends. Tomorrow, too. Maybe every day for a while.

Sometimes people make beautiful art out of dark moments. I've seen it. We'll share more when we can. Please, hang in there.

Doing boring back end Python coding of the BASH NomadNet site chat, working to make it as portable and easy to set up on new systems as possible.

It's running on a Pi4, so if you've got one of those around or nearly any SBC or device that can run Docker, you can consider hosting this comm option.

My state just forced a school district to pay a student $10,000 because she reported seeing a trans student in the bathroom. "Schools must understand that compliance with the law is not optional."

No one is on our side, materially. The longer this goes on, the longer it'll take to get allies at all

There are ghouls still doing this, and that will continue to do this, about Harris' support for the destruction of Palestine.

"Couldn't vote for her because of her support for genocide, huh? How do you feel about that now?"

They gleefully watch an ongoing genocide, feeling only self-righteous.
"No, you can't ever have what you want or need, I'm making it my main focus to ensure this. If you say you're not interested in that, I'm going to make sure everyone blames you for the other team winning. 'Enjoy the camps,' my minions will harp, gleefully anticipating your destruction. Vote for us!"

Not really Evan's point, but it's a couple streets over- if you ever wonder why trans people, trans women in particular, seem to be more angry and vocal and unwavering in our stances online- it's because it's really the only place we're allowed to be that way.
Democrats will not get the voters they need to turn out by having anxious members of the Democratic rank and file harass anxious people to their left on Bluesky.

It may feel good to argue with people online, lord knows I'm not above it, but there's no universe where it a actually matters.

Online discourse is the rare place where trans women can speak freely without fear of being physically harmed. It's a space we can vent and relieve some of this insane pressure that builds from a public life of being despised and ignored.

So if you think trans women who disagree with you online are just being mean to you, recognize that it's pretty much the only place where our voice can actually be heard. If our frustration bothers you, it comes from an outside world you created.

There's a large and intentional section of leadership in the Democratic party that is focused on denying the priorities of the base on healthcare, arms deals, police reform, and human rights, among others.

They see us as enemies and also demand our fealty. That's awful ethically and strategically.
If "the other guy is worse" isn't likely to lead to broad popularity and a mandate for Democratic priorities then what do you think will?

THINK. And then ask the Democrats to give the country more than this weak tea. Don't just yell at people online because you're scared.

Boooo. This case sounded like a bunch of weaponized bullshit where the person doing the harassment turned around and played victim, using the legal system to continue and deepen harassment.

That last line:

"Silence during a genocide is not neutral."
Ms. Rachel:
"Ed Sheeran had an opportunity…Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows."

"If more than 20,000 white children were killed…everyone would be shouting…Treating some children's lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral."

This year, when the fireworks go off, let's think of Laurie.

A goddamn legend.
"Laurie died in 2015 of lymphoma, leaving behind a son and a legacy of helping others.

Jon is honoring his memories of Laurie with a $10,000 matching donation to this year’s Boise Pride fireworks show."
