In fact, I'd go further: dedicating some of my resources to worthy causes that might flounder without proper funding. C'mon God! Use me! 🙏🏻

Only the strongest, most original make it to publication. A handful more are picked as reserves and published the year after.

I know this is just me having a pissy fit and stamping my feet like a four-year-old, but I continue to be disappointed to find that, despite @iamb.uk having been a thing now since 2020, so many of its 400+ contributors never mention its name in bios for other mags or comps. Feels a bit ... erasing.

Idea for a new Channel 4 show: Jamie's 30-second Feasts. Cheeky mockney restauranteur and TV personality Jamie Oliver has to cram as many treat-size Mars bars as he can down his neck before Jools and the kids get back from swimming.

Finding work after being made redundant (twice) in one's 50s is way harder than I could ever have imagined. Coming to the conclusion that ageism – something about which I cared very little in my 20s – is not only real but demoralising.
