Delighted to hear that the National Ploughing will take place in Rathangan, Co. Kildare next year!

A great opportunity to showcase a beautiful town in Kildare South.

Totally unbelievable that in a cost of living crisis the NTA admits that their proposed fare hikes will lead to LESS people using public transport.

This is only force more people into their cars, stuck in traffic.

Energy providers have hiked prices up again this year. It’s another bill for workers and families, without any support.

FF/FG must protect households from these price hikes by increasing investment in retrofitting schemes so more workers qualify.

That is the only way we can protect households.

A truly equal GAA organisation, that is what we all want.

Working families haven’t seen an increase in Child Benefit since 2011. In the same time, the cost of living has spiralled out of control.

The Labour Party will be putting forward a real alternative budget that builds a workers’ republic and protects the most vulnerable.
September 9, 2026 at 1:50 PM
In a cost of living crisis, we should be encouraging more people to use public transport and making it more affordable.

Government must not allow this 15% price hike to go ahead. Workers and families can’t take anymore.

Another update on recent and current encampments on the Curragh 🐎.

I am continuing to raise this with the Minister for Defence to ensure that the Curragh is given the respect and protection it deserves.

Raising the need to have more dedicated wheelchair spaces in Irish Rail services. It’s a big issue particularly on the Kildare to Heuston line which is constantly overcrowded.

Improved accessibility sought for Kildare wheelchair users on trains
A TD said that it ‘isn’t fair or just’ that wheelchair users have limited options while onboard trains

Great news for children and parents as the new special school for Kildare is confirmed to be opening in the autumn, as reported by KFM today.

The Ros Glas Community Special School will be based at the former St Peter’s Boys School, with enrolment open from 24th August to 11th September.

How much do you put on a life?

This is heartbreaking news for people with Friedreich’s Ataxia and their families. These families are worth more than a cruel and cold cost benefit analysis of whether or not their life is worth the money needed to purchase the life extending treatment Skyclarys.

A FREE EDUCATION MEANS FREE.

It does not mean voluntary contributions. It does not mean state exam fees. It does not mean €700 plus for laptops or tablets.

A free education means free.

Today I introduced my Bill in the Dáil which will give family carers a right to a postal vote. This is a small but necessary change needed to ensure that family carers have their voice heard on election day.

It is positive to hear the government response to my #NoWaitCard Bill today. I will be continuing to work with No Wait Card Ireland and the Minister for Health to finally get this card legally recognised for those that need it most.

Only 4.4% of those in receipt of Carer’s Allowance are also getting the Fuel Allowance.

Given the fuel crisis and the increased energy needs of caring households I am calling for the Fuel Allowance to be extended to all those on Carer’s Allowance now.

Today I voted no confidence in the government because this is about so much more than fuel price.

The people coming to my office, the working people, are just surviving, from week to week, bill to bill.

Government must start listening and start delivering for workers and their families.
April 14, 2026 at 5:46 PM
It’s not just about fuel prices.
April 13, 2026 at 7:43 AM
Another day of high fuel prices and protests and another day of inaction from government. We need see engagement on this by Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael & Independents.

Ordinary, hardworking people are looking for a lifeline from government to keep their jobs.

Workers need solutions NOW.
April 10, 2026 at 8:07 PM
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael did the bare minimum to help struggling households with the high price of fuel. That little effort is now being eroded with prices increasing to €2.20 and higher in some areas.

Government must show up for workers and act now.

Remote working costs nothing for government to implement, can easily reduce traffic congestion and save workers who can work from home time and money.

Why wouldn’t Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael want to help commuters stuck in traffic?

Rising prices drive up cost of commuting
US President Donald Trump has claimed that the war in Iran will come to an end in two or three weeks but for now, the cost of fuel looks set to keep rising.

No such thing as a free education under FF and FG.

Parents have seen exam fees reintroduced, and now price hikes in school transport fees. The Minister for Education must explain the ongoing price increases for education, at a time when families are already experiencing immense financial pressure.
March 31, 2026 at 6:05 PM
What part of free education is free?

Exam fees. Voluntary contributions. School uniforms. These school costs now have parents at breaking point.

🔴 Abolish exam fees and voluntary contributions
🔴 Make school transport free
🔴 Make the Back to School Clothing Allowance universal and increase it

Garda numbers across Kildare South have remained the same since 2020, despite repeated PR attempts by FF/FG to convey a different story.

We need to see more gardaí back on our streets and we need to see actual increases across Kildare.
