It took 18 months with us as her parents, but I think I can officially say that Grace has become a snuggly cat.

College women are about as likely to be sexually assaulted as they are to catch the flu. The stories you’re hearing are not marginal or exceptional, they are the current norm.

I remember a lot of the bus shelters in Utrecht had these and it was lovely.
Could new bus shelter roofs help New Yorkers stay cool in extreme heat?

We're testing a few in Brownsville to find out: a green roof covered with native plants, and reflective roofs covered with low-cost, heat-resilient film.

All the hysteria and rhetoric that consumed a community around these bike lanes ended and now no one talks about them and people use them (including those with mobility devices) all the time for work, school, play and everything in between. Change is hard for some people but we all adapt.

Worcester friends, if you know anyone looking for a 2 bed, 1 bath house, my sister is selling her very, very cute one so that she can move into a house where she and husband don't share a room with their 3 year old. Big yard, deck, and lots of finished storage www.zillow.com/homedetails/...

Visiting the Tall Ships Parade of Sail tomorrow?

Want to know where the best free, public viewing locations will be, 99% of them not recognized on SailBoston's map or identified by the Boston media?

Here's a link to my complete, unrolled thread... skyview.social?url=https%3A...

I know we’re all focused on the match right now, but I need to know…have the Scots in Worcester discovered Turtle Boy? He needs a cone for sure.

RIP Mark Rothko. You would have loved how the hydrogen peroxide bleach is only turning the Reflecting Pool blue around the perimeter

I am so happy that Boston is getting to experience the delightful and chaotic Scotspeople. I’m so proud.

Next Friday Barry and I are going to PVD to watch the next game with the Tartan Army at G-Pub and I CANNOT WAIT for the joyful insanity. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

OH. MY. GOD.
Washington Nat'l Opera sues the Kennedy Center alleging that the Center STOLE the opera's endowment.

WNO had a longterm agreement where KC ran the opera's development back office, and in 2025 KC just ... stopped doing it and seized the funds.

We've removed major hurdles to building affordable housing —  a move that will get homes up nearly 2 years faster.

We’re in a race to tackle our housing crisis, because working New Yorkers can't afford to wait.

I still love the theory a Year 6 child proposed to me that David Attenborough is actually God and he got fed up with people not noticing the amazing things he'd created, so he made documentaries to show off.

I wish more educators and fewer lawyers would run for public office, in part b/c the best ones are naturals at explaining the whys of things.

We could use more people in public life who cultivate understanding and bring people along together instead of "voters are too dumb to appreciate language"

Another strange excuse from last night:

“you can’t put a speed hump here because in the winter, people need to speed to get a running start up the hill.”

We get nasty winter weather maybe 2 months of the year…

But also speeding on snowy/icy streets is not smart??…

(How do I know? I’m from WI)

Barry and I tuned into the standing committee on traffic and parking tonight, as our street was put on the agenda for consideration for speed humps. We both spoke in support of it for our street. 1/
