1. The extra funding is quite small, raising defence spending by 0.1% of GDP in each of the next 3 yrs, reaching 2.7% of GDP from 27-28. We also got plans for 29-30 for the first time, also 2.7% of GDP
How part of it will be funded, and the path to 3.5% by 2035, remain key challenges.

By 2024, case volumes were around 57% below pre-reform levels, while spending had fallen by nearly 15% after adjusting for inflation.
