Me, making small talk with another dad on the playground bench: “Any fun plans for the weekend?”

Other Dad: “Gettin’ married tomorrow.”

Me, immediately putting down my Car-Free Sunday topic: “Oh, heck yeah, let’s get all deets!”

Here is yet one more example. Miller's silhouette is similar to the first Palmolive bottle, whereas he would benefit from having more padding and extension, which would create the second Palmolive bottle.

Another new blog post!

This is a bit more in-depth. 10-15 minute read.

I designed Destiny encounters for years but haven't ever talked much about what that actually means. So here you go!

Note: The US has no safety regs that limit vehicle blind zones.

Federal car rules only protect those inside a vehicle. Others are ignored.

Hello Rubyist. Working hard all day is great, but maybe it's time to cool down. New in RubyGems/Bundler 4.0.13:

Cool down before you install: give new gems a few days to be vetted
Most supply-chain attacks against RubyGems exploit a narrow window: an account is compromised, a malicious version ships, and any bundle install in the minutes that follow resolves straight to it. ...

An analogy:

Reducing deaths per mile driven is like reducing cancer deaths among smokers. Laudable, but an incomplete strategy.

Public health leaders strive to *reducing smoking,* not just treating smokers with cancer.

We should apply the same logic to road safety.

Bicycles are hugely space efficient, which is why they make a lot of sense in congested cities.

This video demonstrates why there aren’t traffic jams in bike lanes.

Just imagine the traffic queues if every bicycle here was a car.

When Wab asks if MB should switch to summer time or standard time, don't be a coward.

Look at how Winnipeg straddles time zones. We're a half-hour off of Mountain Time. We're a half-hour off of Central Time.

Demand the half-hour compromise. Let's follow Newfoundland's lead. #UTC-6:30

The City of Cincinnati just rolled out 0% interest loans for e-bikes. $100/month, no down payment.

Cincinnati hills are no joke, so affordable e-bikes could be a game changer for getting more people to bike.
