100% this. If any of the UK political parties are listening?

No, I won't tactically vote for Labour to prevent Reform; not while my rights are being stripped by them.
i hope so cuz they keep making me repeat myself

The phrase "dignity & respect" is weaponised hate speech against trans + people.

If you use it, you're a transphobe.

guys the UK gender clinics -𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪- required trans people to use the facilities for their target sex, for two years, before they were given any access to healthcare.

rationale is not where these people go looking for answers. it is solely about their bigoted priors. everything comes after that.
It's a day ending in a 'y' and we're back to gender cranks rewriting history again. I came out first in 1989, I've been using appropriate spaces since the 1990s, I had friends who transitioned in the 1970s, April Ashley transitioned in the 50s, there is a very long list

I’m not against AI for software dev, it’s here and that’s not changing but as a maintainer of a large (but niche) open source project, I wish people would stop submitting issues and comments written by AI.

If you can’t be bothered to write the post yourself, I can’t be bothered to read it.

I felt more seen by this episode than any others. Absolutely amazing episode even if it did seem to strategically target me in quite a few places!
Tissues at the ready #ROBOTcar gang. Chapter Seven, the penultimate episode of season one, is out now.

The team members each have to face an individual test to fight their way out of Pix’s paracosm and things get HAIRY (Wilder).
Chapter Seven – Deeply Ironic Monsters
It’s a Superpower?? is an immersive audio experience and is best enjoyed with headphones. Tired of the New Dawns’ constant bellyaching, Pix transports the gang to her paracosm, where a host of fearsom...

People can change. In 2005, someone came out as trans in the community I was in, and they were more-or-less pushed out.

One of the people there was threatening violence against her if she ever went into the same toilets as his wife. I stopped talking to him and retreated deep into the closet.

Whenever a beloved celebrity dies, I check to make sure they weren’t transphobic.

Gloria Steinem went from Transsexual Empire-inspired transphobia in the 70s to full support in later life.

Heroes change their opinions when they realize they’re wrong.

+1 here for starting with Guards! Guards!

You can't go wrong with Mort either.
I suggest beginning your journey in Discworld with The Truth, Going Postal, or Guards! Guards!”

Meanwhile the tone of this post about menopausal/peri-menopausal women struggling to access testosterone is completely different.

If this was for trans people, the doctor quoted in the article would be reported to the GMC, investigated and forced to leave the country.
More appalling behaviour from the BBC. ⬇️

A trans person interviewed about their horrific experience having their surgery cancelled whilst in the hospital described as 'biologically female'.

And then half the article devoted to praising the work of an unemployed transphobe.

Welsh Gender Service: Transgender patients told surgery cancelled in hospital
One patient said they were "heartbroken" after being told their surgery was called off 24 hours before.

I will always choose a place with a hand written sign, blackboard, old peeling vinyl or plastic stuck to a light box or letters pinned into a board, written in blood on velum or just printed out in Times New Roman over a place using an AI menu or sign.
It really pisses me off how many small businesses, food trucks, etc, get defensive around their AI posters and menus, saying they can't afford graphic designers or whatever. But where was this problem 2 years ago? It takes more time than just using a photo and writing a caption with marker pen?

I hate quote posts but, literally a locked door labeled "inclusive" with symbols representing two different minority groups is something only the UK could conjure up
Encountered my first one of these in the UK

And I can’t say this clearly enough

Did they shut down the neonatal unit and conduct an “independent review” without a timeframe or a roadmap when Lucy Letby was killing babies?

If not, what warranted the drastic measure suspending Wales's gender-affirming surgery referral service?

Much like The Bursar in Discworld, all LLMs hallucinate, it's how they work.

The trick is to make them hallucinate the correct thing.

I have never seen a moral panic grip a country so quickly or thoroughly
The Welsh Gender Service has now released a statement regarding the cancellation of all surgeries:

'We have been asked to immediately pause referrals from the WGS for gender affirming surgery and existing scheduled surgeries while further independent clinical review work is carried out.'

Has the Welsh NHS prioritised surgery for service users who have been on the waiting list for a long time to cut down the waiting list, so they can meet the LEGAL REQUIREMENT of seeing new referrals within 6 weeks? Scandalous!!!

Let’s investigate them for not defrauding public funds.
With whats happened in Wales we really are now at the point where the moral panic can shut down transition care full stop cause of the “scandal” that transition happens, at all.

NHS cancelling surgeries for adults even after they’ve already paid for travel + accommodation and waited years to get there. Some were about to be wheeled into theatre!

Every manager responsible for this decision must be sacked and every patient paid compensation.
🚨🆕 @wearequeeraf.com and @whatthetrans.com can reveal that the NHS has cancelled all gender-affirming surgeries for adult patients of the Welsh Gender Service

Some trans patients received the news just days or even hours before they were due to take place 👇
