If you're wondering why authors are getting so rabid here: First Anthropic stole our books. Then we got denied compensation because of US unjust copyright law and publishers failing to meet their contractual obligations. Then publishers and agents apparently claimed author shares. Now this.

Here's the story of how we learned about the Imagination Library:
My older kid was a preemie. When he got out of the NICU, the hospital connected us to services. There were home visits and an occupational therapist. It turned out the kid didn't need a lot of support, but we were grateful for it. 1/

I haven’t seen this mentioned yet: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has a bilingual English-Spanish option. She supported the literacy of young Spanish-language readers at a time when Spanish and Spanish-speakers were increasingly being demonized in politics. imaginationlibrary.com/bilingual-pr...

Thanks to my new friend Fiona who took me for my first wild swim (freshwater loch/ lake) yesterday! They’re just as cold as North East Canada but feel so refreshing on a sunny summer day. Also, it was nearly 9 pm when I took this photo! Love #scotland #outdoors #wildswimming
