Politicians running tv ads in metro areas that have LOTS of districts should include the district number they are running for -- in the ad.

There is someone who has nice ads that keep appearing, but I want to know RIGHT AWAY if I need to are to pay attention or just think, "nice ad" and move on.

Do I like the polls that show people are realizing he is a con man? YES.

But I also remind myself that polls can be dramatically inaccurate and have zinged us in the past.

My optimism is in that he's resorting to bribery, and that there are fewer actual signs that indicate people like him.

It's interesting how it's always "deport all the illegals" and "ban all trans people from bathrooms" to "protect women."
But it's never "shut down all the fraternities."
It's almost like it's not actually about protecting women.....🤔

A HAUNTING DYSTOPIAN NOVEL, inspired by Orwell's 1984, set in a climate-collapsed world where an authoritarian government oppresses its perceived enemies--including the protagonist and other gay men. Delicate, vivid prose. B PLUS

🌟Shortlisted for the 2026 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction🌟 Hiron Ennes's maximalist, visceral story of revolution explores resistance, repression, cycles of violence, and the way art and culture are the materials of social change—but can also be key to the consolidation of power.

I suspect that so many women like to read about villains because villains show you who they are. They don't pretend to be "nice guys."

I'm very sure there's more to it, but I wonder if this isn't a part.

Despite the flaws in Galen's spy series, the writing is good enough that I keep reading more.

I read the novella "The Spy Wore Blue". I'm not sure if this is supposed to bring any other spy movies to mind.

I finished reading "True Spies" by Shana Galen, continuing her spy series. This one brings to mind the movie True Lies, but set in Regency England.

Mostly enjoyable, but a few discrepancies that were noticeable. At the beginning, it read as if the wife stayed home when hubby was "late".

Review #BookReview: Love Comes to Light by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars
Love Comes to Light by Andrew Grey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Arik, struggling after a severe hand injury, goes to Pleasanton to work with Ken Brighton and meets Reg Thompson — a huge biker with a gentle heart. Arik slowly looks past Reg’s intimidating exterior, but when he discovers some of Reg’s club members are involved in drugs, the same world that caused his injury, he pulls away. Reg only understands why once the truth comes out, and both men must face the dangerous direction the club is heading. This was a story full of emotion and vulnerability, especially as Arik struggled with his hand injury, the impact on his painting career, and his growing feelings for Reg Thompson. Reg was an absolute teddy bear — steady, emotionally aware, and wonderfully gentle in every interaction. As the story went on, I found myself increasingly frustrated with Arik. He hadn’t truly tried to heal or adapt after his injury, and instead seemed to give up entirely. His massive chip on his shoulder and his complete shutdown after discovering the drug connection felt immature and made him harder to sympathize with. Still, there were moments I really enjoyed, especially the interactions within the wider circle of characters. Patrick was a standout — his observations and advice added warmth, clarity, and a much‑needed grounding presence. A story with strong emotional threads, even if much of it leaned toward a more clinical tone. This was an MM story with mature content. I rounded my review value as it was the 4 side of 3.
