The Urban Agriculture Network has disbanded and this feed is static. -- Cindy Cotter, UAN Founder.
Conventional agriculture benefits from a mature, subsidized, and legally protected food system- including farm support, processing and distribution - that #UrbanAgriculture lacks. This symposium is designed to deal with all of that. In person, not free.

The House passed a Farm Bill today. It's not a great bill, but it reauthorizes the Office of #UrbanAgriculture and the Federal Advisory Committee and makes the pilot Urban County Committees permanent. It still needs to pass the Senate, and we still need a budget (which is in jeopardy in the Senate).
