Not only does my 11-year-old son know the song "Welcome To The Jungle", but he successfully parodied it as "Welcome To The Back Seat" when Mom rode in back with him yesterday. He became a "Weird Al" fan last month and I couldn't be more proud.

The Bistro Box, a roadside lunch shack in Great Barrington, is remarkable for great food, and, even more rarely, the music they play clearly NOT curated by a streaming service. It's gotta be an actual human. I heard "Mary Anne" by Marshall Crenshaw? I thought I was the only one who loved that song.

I read Emily Wilson's strongly negative (and overly long) review of THE ODYSSEY movie. I can rebut her review as follows: an epic poem is not a movie, like a painting is not a opera, or dancing is not architecture. Her review was like "that Seurat painting wasn't uptempo enough"

One of my all-time favorite comfort watches. Zucker / Abrhams / Zucker direct a screwball farce version of RANSOM OF RED CHIEF amidst the rich and poors of 1980s Los Angeles.
When I posted this, the Red Sox were 12-30 and 16 games behind Tampa Bay. Since then the Sox have gone 38-18 including a four-game sweep of the Rays this week. #redsox
I love how the #RedSox made it painfully obvious why I should NOT subscribe to their streaming service, then two weeks later they cut the price by 86%

I have zero patience for people over 80 recklessness enough to continue driving, despite all evidence they are endangering lives. Imagine how many traffic violations this man has committed that the police did not cite him for.
