I’m not your typical tourist. I want to meet people.
Scribbles on crumpled paper towel. Dear Traveller, what do you look for when you visit a different country…place? There’s a doodle of a plate with food, there’s fruit next to the plate, a glass with a drinking straw, there’s a knife and something that looks like a fork. Words describe the sad-looking fork: badly drawn fork. Below sketch is neenamaiya.substack.com. Choochwai with me. An arrow points to meaning of choochwai: stray, wander, explore, travel.

“How are you?”

So I start talking about my #books, and writing…

…and watch the person slide away, drift off…

Family ain’t interested unless you’re in business, or in some wonderful, Accepted Profession.

I LOVE to choochwai. Heh.
Doodle of a car full of people waving merrily away. At the back , the car’s boot is loaded with luggage . The car has an unusual number of wheels. Haha. Below the car is the word choochwai, and its meaning: stray, gallivant, walk about…

OPINION: "Some long-standing, influential studies aren’t designed to capture how Gen Z often reads: multimodally—bouncing between print, e-book and audiobook for the same book, (but)a growing proportion of Gen Z—66%—is identifying as readers, up 14% from 2022," Berens and Noorda write.
Opinion | Gen Z Reading Habits Aren’t Dying. They’re Changing.
Kathi Inman Berens and Rachel Noorda write that Gen Z reading habits are including more digital platforms than ever before.

Old-time Jamaicans said that whenever you arrive home late at night, especially from a nine-night, you should enter your house backwards to prevent any duppies you may have encountered from following you inside.

Yesterday: wiped the floor (because the vacuum is too cumbersome & noisy); drew a maze by hand; paid for a place in the park for family picnic.

Simple things but they take time. Hope I can #write today!!

How do fashion writers find so many words to write about an outfit?
