Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Phil Handy is finalizing a deal to become an assistant coach with Philadelphia Sixers head coach Nick Nurse, a source said. Handy previously worked with Nurse in Toronto and with LeBron James with the Cavs and Lakers. Great addition for Nurse.

There hasn't been an episode released this week, but yesterday was the 2nd-best ever day for the Podcast (best was day Ryan Schmidt interview dropped).

Going by the large number of international downloads, I'm calling it the "people on holiday effect"!😄

Over time, the number of people who will claim to have stayed up and watched the Mexico v England game live will mysteriously increase...
Tis easier to say you stayed up than admit you slept through a classic.

It's not a dig, it happens for so many classic moments in sport.

Hi @eurostarjustin.bsky.social. I doubt you'd remember but back in X days I used to mention how I hadn't been on an e300 since before Covid.
Well, tonight that run ends! 🙂

Always love it when an older episode gets traction again. With Ryan Schmidt named among the candidates for the Chicago Bulls job, it's suddenly getting listens again.
I'd highly recommend listening as it's a great episode and the 2nd most popular episode of the podcast to date.

There are a few things I'd change but the main issue it's the lack of a proper 3 or 5-game playoff series to keep fans engaged...

Months of regular season, but then the playoffs are done in just over a week. One bad performance or a strong loss and you're out? It doesnt make sense, imo

Asked on X, now asking here.
We've now had 2 seasons of UK Super League Basketball.
What change(s) would you like to see next season to improve the SLB?
Doesn't matter whether it's relating to competition, rules, teams, officials, venues, broadcast, it can be anything.
Let's hear your thoughts.
