Went to the opening night London Film Festival archival showing of the reconstruction/restoration of Powell & Pressburger’s “Gone to Earth” last night.
A fantastic 2nd tier P&P film. Reconstructed version newly minted and rarely seen. Mixing gothic melodrama and folkish mysticism. Beautifully shot.
