Today is Intersex Awareness Day. I am intersex – and did not find out until I was 26!
Intersex people are also impacted by the decision in FWS, but this is much less talked about. Intersex people continue to be subjected to non-consensual medical interventions.
Intersex rights are human rights.

It’s so telling that Robin Ince has used the word ‘openly’ here. Any time I write a piece in the Scottish press that’s supportive of trans folk it unleashes a tidal wave of hate and threats that lasts for days. It is a deliberate exercise in silencing support and further isolating trans people.

A nice, short one for today. Is homosexuality a "Western imposition", as many conservatives in the global South claim? Is homophobia the true "Western import", as many decolonial and queer scholars argue?
And does the answer to this question matter as much as you think it does?

Which Way, Western Homo?
Is it homosexuality or homophobia that is “a Western import”?

i think my cat's internal clock (aka his tummy) is running ahead a bit because we're close to daylight savings soon!
he's been bugging us 2 hours before his food (as compared to his 1 hour pre-dinner bother behaviour lol)

Back to 2001 on LGR today for a retrospective on Windows XP! Reminiscing on its release, unboxing and setting it up, new features, games, screensavers, and a bunch of nifty early 2000s things. Still a truly enjoyable eXPerience decades later!
