Plex on the AppleTV has decided to show only one server (computer) and says the other is unavailable. Plex has only been getting more frustrating to use recently.

Ok, time to get serious about clearing things out. This Mamiya 6 is a lot of fun. Let's call it USD $125, shipping included anywhere in the world.

It's always worked great for me, but sold as-is given the age. Happy to answer any questions.
In the interest of minimizing and making space, selling this lovely Mamiya 6 folder with original hood, cap, and yellow filter. Cracked finder glass but it doesn't affect performance. Lens is clean, shutter crisp, bellows good. Looking for US $150 plus shipping from Japan.

Today marks 34 continuous days where Tokyo has seen rain. That's the longest period recorded since 1876, and breaks the record set in 2019. Thought we had a break last Thursday but it must have rained at some point over the whole course of the 24 hours. weathernews.jp/news/202609/...

Was woken up by the earthquake earlier this morning. My first thought was, “no earthquake alarm?” Then I went back to sleep.

And more rain. On the bright side 😉, Thursday and Friday is only calling for rain in the early morning hours. Sunday looks like it may rain late at night.

Why does Japan cook most of its wild salmon? A Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Public Health survey of 27 wild Japanese salmon found Anisakis (parasitic nematodes) in every single one. The fish averaged 22 worms each, with one fish containing 161.

Curious why there are two names for salmon in Japanese? There's an interesting historical (and scientific!) reason behind that.

This DS Lite would make a good candidate for a reshell project.
Saved this from going to electronic waste. Powers on and buttons seem to work. A bit scratched up and dirty. The white DS model shows dirt a lot though.

When I was in the Ikebukuro One Piece store the other week, I saw a disposable camera with a One Piece paper cover. Would have been cool if the film was pre-exposed with characters on the film. Or if it was like that Star Wars Ep1 camera with superimposed characters.
