I don’t think I’m ever going to get the appeal of pivoting to video for podcasts. I’ve been listening to podcasts for 20 years, and never once have I thought, my God, I need to SEE these people! I’m on a walk or doing the dishes, I don’t need video.

Maybe contemplate all the female undergrads instructed by Cornell's example that they don't matter, that justice will be entirely out of reach or come at a horrendous cost, that some of their classmates are rapists or would like to be.....

Trump Officials Revise How Title IX Sex Discrimination Rules Are Enforced
The change follows a court ruling barring Title IX from protecting L.G.B.T.Q. people and has angered advocates for sexual assault survivors.

I'm sorry but I can't keep this to myself any longer, I have to speak out. There is a more than 10% chance that humanity will be wiped out by my Taskmaster spreadsheet. I'm genuinely frightened for humanity's future. I'm NOT just saying this for attention

Preservationists from across the country are worried about the side effects of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, particularly the vibrations from race cars thundering past landmarks including the National Gallery of Art.
As IndyCar Roars Through D.C., Preservationists Raise Alarm
There is little public information about how vibrations created by the race could affect nearby landmarks and artworks.

people's unwillingness to let go of a fictional childhood property is so appalling, and it's wild this is the sort of shit "nerds" get made fun of for when it's the most boring-ass normie millennials refusing to choose empathy over buying a stick they want to pretend is a wand

I just looooooove when people say “it just needs a large, well-structured dataset” like that’s easy.

There is no “just” about it. If you give me a large, well-structured dataset, I can work magic for you, but the data is almost never there. Data curation is critical, and AI CANNOT do it for you.
What? No.

This is just more nonsense from the AI Koolaid-drinkers.

And do you know what we call creating a "well-structured large historical dataset" and identifying a topic, analyzing sources, and writing?

It's called the work of actual human historians. AI can't do this.
Are we ready for machine written history? When given access to a well structured large historical dataset, Claude’s Fable 5 can identify a topic, complete the research and write a strong and original draft research paper. This has the potential to break peer review, graduate school, & job searches.

Please just make peace with the fact that sometimes you don't want to read the book; you want to read the book's Wikipedia page out of curiosity. It's fine. Countless nerds have put together such pages precisely for your "I don't want to read the book but tell me the gist" needs.
