Decided to dust off some DVDs for the Sunday Movie Night. Tonight’s screening is James Cameron’s The Abyss (1989). It’s been a hot minute since I saw it last, and it is as impressive and good as ever.

The visuals are just so fucking good, and makes me wanna play Subnautica.

Two days ago, the Norwegian King died.
By tradition he is buried within 14 days, though the day is not announced.
We didn't want to release on the Kings funeral, so we have moved up the launch date to Sept 15th.

Always-on camera with AI and facial recognition? Smart glasses need to be banned. Make exceptions for the legally blind, perhaps, but having this for everyone gives the tech companies full surveillance of society - they’ll be able to track anyone who’s near a glasses user.

Media literacy in this experiment was a bonus.

Revoking ACCESS is why we have a literacy crisis. Democracy, paywalls, etc etc.

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights.
