Spy vs. Spy ~ Spent hours playing this with my brother. It's such an entertaining two player experience, yet also so easy to grasp.

Free Palestine doesn't mean you're anti-Semitic. It means you're anti-murder.

Released for the BBC Micro in 1984, Elite was one of the first home computer games to use wire-frame 3D graphics with hidden-line removal.

Having a lil look at a prototype Quarter Scale Battlezone. Anyone got any questions about it?

Fantastic place to visit ~ absolutely essential computer history. I recommend going if you can get there.
We were thrilled to host Nostalgia Nerd at The National Museum of Computing! 🕹️💾

We recommend traveling to see @tnmoc.bsky.social on Bletchley Park, but second-best would be to check out this long-form (30min) super-tour by @nostalgianerd.com — amazing discussion of some of the very first computing devices (and ending with classic home computers of late '70s and early '80s)!

Superbe vidéo de @nostalgianerd.com… l’impact énorme de Bletchley Park et de ses chercheurs est trop souvent mis de côté face à ce que les Américains ont apporté à l’informatique.

Remember when Google's motto was "Don't be evil" and then they binned it in 2015.

Gamescom peeps; I'll give you a free packet of crisps if you go up to Christian and whisper "hello chip dipper" into his ear.

These bad boys are ICL 7181 Visual Display Units. Introduced in the 60s as mainframe terminals, they actually used nickel delay lines as memory. This stored data as acoustic sound waves in a coiled wire 🤯

This majestic DEC VT240 from 1984, impressively ran on a single chip microcontroller version of the PDP-11. A system that took up an entire room the prior decade.

Another ICL Terminal. 7501, used as a mainframe operator console, and featuring a memory mapped display 🫪

These things could literally run Pac-Man or Space Invaders, and indeed, did.
