Checking in on this a little late but no it isnt a good electoral strategy to tell people not to vote for you.
I am not a political consultant but I think good advice is to tell people vote for you.

The main flaw of the stanford prison experiment was the participants were knowingly acting a role. Filming it makes this problem worse (as anyone who has watched The Rehearsal knows).

Seems an odd thing to have to clarify.
This has nothing to do with the colour of a barber skin. It has everything to do with them playing by the rules. Too many barbers are not doing so and the sector want to be professionalised.
