Since April 19, Rowling has posted on X:
>238 times in promotion of transphobia. More than 20 focused on her effort to silence human rights defenders at Amnesty
>Zero times to denounce attacks on women’s heath care, discrimination against women in the workplace, or rape culture
I’ve been tracking Rowling’s posts for 5 months. She does not ever post about women’s rights or the threats women face in real life.

Women are just a prop for her transphobic obsession.

Her indifference to women was illustrated recently when she likened herself to Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist

AI has talked kids into suicide, fueled paranoid delusional that led to murder, degraded education quality in both k-12 and higher ed, run roughshod over copyright law, increased spam, fueled spam, fueled fraud, degraded the environment, put people out of work, the list goes on and on.

I don’t care where you started out on the political spectrum

If your kid comes out as trans & you don’t become a rainbow-clad, parade-cheering ally & rock-solid supportive girl/boy/enby dad/mom?

You were never a parent at all

You were a doll collector furious they didn’t stay in their packaging.

The only world fascists envision is one of metal beams that protects their concrete prisons. These trees did more for our world than any one of these fuckass brownshirts ever could.
They cut down the "grandmother" tree.

Remember when us phil-tech types said effective altruism was just utilitarianism taken to its worst possible extents? This is what we meant: Real harm for unquantifiable potential benefit.

AI has lost the Mandate of Heaven I’m afraid. WSJ saying it’s a “when” the ai bubble bursts. SNL dabbing on their biggest names for being weird. FT says 50% of chips sold in 2026 and 2027 have nowhere to go. Hundreds of billions short on revenue for even 10% ROIC. A disaster.

After a few months of living the AI native lifestyle, I now believe the default state is that it makes you worse at your job overtime as you understand less and hand off more thinking to AI.

You’re more productive but it takes a lot of effort for your work quality not to drop precipitously.

Christine Drazan on a podcast agreeing with the hosts that schools need to stop encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion and stop affirming trans kids. Drazan uses lots of dog whistle and euphemisms so her transphobic, homophobic, and white supremacist MAGA audience knows exactly what she means.

What I want white folks to understand is when you let your friends, business partners, elected officials, consultants talk about us this way, we don’t trust you either.

So ask Walmart & Hewlett Packard about the ppl they pay as lobbyists.
So in addition to being a former clerk to SCOTUS Justice Neil Gorsuch, Mike Davis’ lobbying clients include Hewlett Packard and Walmart. Have the CEOs of those companies been asked to “disavow” and “sever their relationships” with Mike Davis?? He is a grotesque racist.

If a politician abandons or betrays a marginalized group and then loses the votes of that group and people who care about them, I would simply pressure the candidate to do better instead of trying to individually scold and pester every voter. That just seems like common sense, to me.

I used to frame this as: If we could pass a constitutional amendment guaranteeing trans people access to comprehensive gender-affirming healthcare, the bathroom of their choice, etc., in exchange for us giving up sports, do you think the people who don't want trans people in sports would go for it?
People get confused about the trans sports thing because at a glance it seems like a small issue that impacts a very small number of people and thus makes sense as a "reasonable" concession. But it isn't, because conceding that is accepting that a kid's trans identity is on some level fraudulent

“There are people in my community, and people who share my values, who are having that experience around Steinem’s death. These are people I care about, and people I intend to struggle alongside. If I do not take their experience of grief seriously, I will incur a cost for that choice.”
Something has really bothered me about the Gloria Steinem discourse—something that's not really about Gloria Steinem. So, I wrote about it.

moulton is a good example of someone who fucked up his career because he misread 2024. many such cases.
In 2024, Moulton said he didn't want his daughters, then 3 and 6, to be "run over on the playing by a formerly male athlete." the in-town soccer league they would have been eligible to play in WAS COED AT THE TIME. Oh, and he gave an absolute loser non-apology about it.
Seth Moulton’s anti-trans rhetoric comes back to haunt him in Senate debate with Ed Markey
