Terrific piece, finding a balance between the supercool visuals and sounds of south seas exotica and the not very subtle cultural appropriation that was intrinsic to those tiki dreams. I keep thinking about founding a publishing venture just to reprint some of Louis Becke's south seas tales....

Finally saw CREATURE WITH THE ATOM BRAIN (1955). Better than its reputation, if not very good. Not good doesn't mean it's not genuinely entertaining.
