Hey @netflix.com - it’s okay, I don’t need you to ‘deliver even more value for my membership’ and offer 85 new releases next month, as you already have more shows & films than I could watch in my entire lifetime. So there’s no need to increase my ’includes ads’ plan fee by 33%.

I've never had any interest in playing any Silent Hill game until I saw this. It looks like where I live. Getting by in a town like this is the real survival horror.

It's really refreshing seeing shitey normal working class life depicted like this in a game, and a Silent Hill game no less. Pebble-dashed council flats, three-bar fires, Post Office counters, concrete shopping precincts. This must be how posh people felt playing Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

This is a good visual metaphor for #gamedev using generative AI to code… it gives the illusion of competency and creativity without an understanding of what the hell is going on.

I would buy a Switch 2 if they offered it as a screenless brick you plug into a TV. Just a regular game console with a regular gamepad. Charge me £269 instead of £419 and I’ll buy all the games.

I‘ve wanted to get on with #gamedev but I haven’t finished my online #ADHD assessment, so I spent 2 hours completing the last & longest of the 12 multi-section online forms… and the site crashed, logged me out, and I lost everything that I wrote. WHY DID IT NOT SAVE AS IT WENT? I HAVE ADHD FFS!!!

Generative AI is an attempt by tech bros to own our voices, our experiences, our creativity, our hard work. They want to feed our creative efforts into a machine so that they can profit off of it. AI art is hollow and soulless and without human intention.

Send help! Within a month I’ve gone from ”I really getting somewhere with #Defold & Lua” to “I’m totally digging #Unity again & maybe C# isn’t all that bad” to “Maybe #Godot is the way forward after all as GDscript is awesome & I wish I had stuck with it.”
