I’ll just echo what Sarah and Eddie have said here: those of you going “But…” will be remembered.
I've seen other queer folks who have said something similar, and I want to speak up as a lesbian too.
Nothing excuses using the f-word against a gay man. There should be consequences for doing so.

I hate that what sounds like an unedifying & unpleasant exchange ending in homophobia, seemingly resolved between the two of them at the time, has been brought up to target Sherman - not by Burr. The homophobic comment was real, but used as a weapon by people who are *not* the allies of gay men.
