As many of you will be aware, the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment (CCEA) awarding body in Northern Ireland is to discontinue GCSE and A-level German.

This is a real blow to language education in Northern Ireland, depriving future generations of the opportunity to learn German.

Vor 75 Jahren erschien das erste Micky-Maus-Heft in deutscher Sprache. Wie lange es diese Hefte am Kiosk wohl noch geben wird? Und wer hat die Sprechblasen ins Deutsche übersetzt? Das ist das Verdienst von Erika Fuchs. Sie wagte mit stöhn, seufz etc. ein neues Stilmittel. *Freu*.
