Pete Buttigieg was interviewed by Kara Swisher in September. He answered several questions clarifying his stance on issues he has held since he first came on the scene in 2019.

Hopefully his answers will clear up some confusion that some people have

That's right - you're the good Secretary Pete and Hegseth is the bad Secretary Pete. He's the sociopathic drunk who should not be commanding anything. He's a serial harasser too. You're a servant leader and loving husband and father who has saved women from assault.

Because the Democratic Party welcomes DEI candidates with open arms, there will always be some aspect that bigots don’t like.

Female - AOC, Harris, Whitmer
Black - Moore, Booker, Warnock
Jewish - Ossoff, Pritzker, Shapiro
Gay - Buttigieg
Too Short - Kelly, Raskin, Buttigieg, Shapiro

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every time I say AOC someone says "she can't win" and I'm like NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE SHE CAN'T! My mom's firmly Team Buttigieg who I wouldn't mind and he's a veteran but his sexuality is going to be a thing. I hate that it will be but it will be.

This is the interview Trump’s FCC doesn’t want you to see.

We’re not just going up against the most corrupt politician in Texas.

We’re going up against this entire corrupt system.

Pete was also the most pro consumer and pro union DOT secretary we’ve ever had. Claiming he’s a corporate Dem is blatantly dishonest.

Just stop. There’s a max they can donate, plus Pete’s never taken corporate PAC $. He’s the only one who’s pushed for big structural reform 8 yrs, his #1 priority is getting $ out of politics, & he’s the only Dem who went to Montana to help get signatures for the Montana Plan ballot initiative. -—>

Are you afraid of encountering opposing viewpoints on social media? That’s why you turn off replies?

That means you aren’t secure enough in your position to defend it & demand obedience to your way of thinking by threatening to w/hold your support unless *liberals* bend the knee.

That’s childish.
Or Buttigieg. Or Kelly, or Harris again.

That means you would never would have voted for Bernie Sanders.

Even though @trackaipac.com conveniently lied about his track record of donations.

Be careful who you trust to give you accurate information instead of doing your own research.

Buttigieg: In 2019, people looked at me funny when I said, "I don't think we have the right number of justices on the Supreme Court. I don't think we have the right way of choosing justices."

Miller: I'll give you credit on this. The very first time we met, you said this.

If all income in excess of $400,000 were subject to the Social Security payroll tax, Social Security’s solvency would be guaranteed forever. We could also expand Social Security benefits.

There’s no reason even to consider reducing Social Security benefits or raising the age of eligibility.

Pete has many qualities.

Outside of being really smart & articulate, one of his strongest assets is taking in from people around him.

Pete grew enormously serving in the Biden administration where he was given huge responsibility & surrounded by experience.

He aced the opportunity-He’s Excellent.

Secretary Pete Buttigieg: Fatherhood, Politics and 2028 | At Our Table
Pete Buttigieg talks with us about fatherhood, public life, and what Democrats must understand about a country frustrated with the political status quo. Nearly a decade after he and Jaime Harrison competed for DNC chair, the former mayor and cabinet secretary reflects on how becoming a husband and father changed the stakes of his political work and the personal cost of staying in the fight. We discuss the 2026 midterms, voter anger, political reform, and why Democrats cannot simply offer a return to the past. Pete also reflects on South Carolina, earning trust through listening, and the questions surrounding 2028.  00:00 Jaime welcomes Pete to Season 2 02:00 From DNC rivals to friends 06:00 What Pete learned about the Democratic Party 08:00 Trump and why Democrats can’t go back 11:00 How fatherhood changed Pete 18:00 When politics targets your family 21:00 Has Pete ever wanted to leave politics? 22:00 How Pete and Chasten handle political attacks 26:00 Why Americans are angry 27:00 What Democrats misunderstand about voter anger 29:00 Economic and political reform 32:00 Pete’s vision for the 2026 midterms 35:00 State races and money in politics 36:00 Pete’s potential midterm surprises 37:00 Does Pete want to be president? 39:00 Jaime presses Pete on 2028 40:00 What Pete learned from South Carolina 44:00 Pete on earning support from Black voters 46:00 The Sit Your Ass Down Award 48:00 What Pete hopes his children remember SUBSCRIBE & FOLLOW: 🔔 Subscribe to At Our Table on YouTube: @atourtablepodcast 📩 Newsletter: https://jaimeharrison.substack.com 🎙️ Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast... 🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2qSQSDL... 🌐 Website: https://www.aotpodcast.com FOLLOW JAIME HARRISON: Instagram: harrisonjaime Twitter/X: harrisonjaime Threads: https://threads.net/@harrisonjaime FOLLOW AT OUR TABLE: Instagram: atourtableshow Twitter/X: atourtableshow Threads: https://threads.net/@atourtableshow TikTok: at.our.table Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/atourtable.b...
