I’m all for a united front in challenging ‘pro ref’ as an organisation. What I do find funny though, in now ref watch isn’t on Sky anymore and Man Utd have been on the wrong end of a shocker…Gary Nev doesn’t have a problem coming for the ref.

You’ve got refs going on podcasts saying “I decided to play a game with myself rather than reffing the match” & going on tv shows saying “I didn’t overturn a wrong call because I felt bad for my mate” but somehow there’s still debate about whether pro ref is fit for purpose

Martinelli was a rare light at the end of the tunnel on some of the darkest days I've ever experienced as an Arsenal fan. And, like Saka, he was there every step of the way from our lowest lows to finally winning the title again.

Maybe it was time, but sad to see Gabriel Martinelli go, & I think he deserved better from certain people when it came to his departure.
Fans connect with players who they can see love the club, and he was one of those from his very 1st appearance.
He leaves as a champion, and he deserved that.
