Also when calculating the cost of this in these pieces, the cost of the US Navy escorting all these tankers is somehow assumed to be $0 instead of what it is actually is.
I don’t think a 21X increase in the cost to get a tanker out of the Persian Gulf with lower total exports than before the war is an achievement.

And I think it’s odd that so much of the press has been covering it as if we should see this as positive, with “Better Than You Think”-style “explainers.”
“The cost of carrying oil from inside the Persian Gulf to China rose to a record $1.3 million a day Monday.

“The rate averaged close to $60,000 a day last year.”

A bunch of folks who have never had empathy for Palestinian deaths are quoted here en masse responding to an accurate, smart, and thought out statement.

Same as if ever was. Zohran is great. His critics continue to relegate themselves into history's villain pile.

Shouldn't the Democrats have something like an Elon Donations Tracker posted on all of their websites and social media? Make this SALIENT?

Might it make sense to point out repeatedly that he is a white supremacist and ask the public why he would be backing the GOP?
In the last 24 hours, Elon added $5,423,645.66. New totals include:

$13,131,789.48 vs @jamestalarico.bsky.social
$6,308,848.86 vs @sherrodbrownoh.bsky.social

I'm increasingly frustrated that people who are anti-AI aren't being taken seriously, and taking a page out of my thoughts on why the anti-trans backlash got as far as it did I'm starting to think the anti-AI side isn't extreme enough.

Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!

Never forget that David Ellison's Skydance Media was originally created so he could be an actor.

Skydance's first film was 'Flyboys' starring James Franco and... David Ellison. David and his daddy invested $60m to make Flyboys.

It grossed $17m

Here's a bit of David's acting:

White supremacist cops take a minority citizen, drive him out to the woods as a threat, and leave him there.

No, it's not Mississippi in the 1930s, why do you ask?
4/ Fernando Vasquez, an 18-year-old citizen, was on break from work when agents chased and handcuffed him, then put him in their truck.

After realizing their mistake, the agents left the teen alone in the woods, with no way to get home.

Then they threw his ID out of the truck.

The government *still* isn’t tracking how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens.

We are.

500+ Americans have been handcuffed, held at gunpoint or held against their will in Trump’s second term.

Our tally is almost certainly an undercount.

At risk of “infighting” why the heck would CTU run a candidate who has any risk of allegations related to students???

Is this not the first thing you would vet when deciding on which candidate to run?

I know for a fact there are decent members, so why not them?

Trump could nominate the worst person with a law degree in America and this Republican senate will confirm that person. That includes Susan Collins, who always confirms Trump’s justices. The only chance you have to keep that person off the court is to elect Democratic senators.

Honestly, if you were doing this and didn’t feel wrong for it, will jail be enough?
Everyone involved in this process — including the Palantir employees — have to be investigated and probably go to jail.
NEW: DHS agents tracked people observing ICE arrests, photographed them, ran their plates, pulled personal information, and added them to a Palantir database, according to newly unsealed court filings.
