admitting you were wrong about something costs you absolutely nothing and i wish more people understood that. i train people for a living, i get things wrong live and in real time in front of people to whom it matters a lot for their jobs, acknowledgement is always better than denial.

I think if you’re going to wade into enveloping your brand in Nordic culture you need to go all-in and make lutefisk flavored chips. Subsistence farming flavored chips. Hightailing it to Mpls to work as a rail yard laborer & dying of tuberculosis flavored chips (shout out to my great-grandfather).

I've talked a lot about mercy today and it's hard for me to imagine someone that embodied that idea in American public life more than Dolly Parton.
