ICE are currently chasing and kidnapping immigrants in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a town that is at this point probably most famous for being the starting point for Ishmael’s journey in the great American novel Moby-Dick, which portrays a multiracial crew including many immigrants, working together

I need both!

repost this if an editor has ever saved you from yourself
An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Congress caused a judicial vacancy crisis in DC by repeatedly failing to confirm judges for DC courts.

Instead of fixing it, today it will vote on a bill to eliminate the little say DC gets on selecting the judges in our local courts.

The bill would let President Trump handpick DC judges instead.
The JNC ensures DC has judges who are vetted and qualified for the President to select. A new House bill would eliminate it and let President Trump handpick our judges without any say from DC residents. That’s not accountability: It’s control.
