This was the right path
I thought
Followed its siren song
where there Home
carved itself out in me
rooted me to the plateauvalley
like a tree
Everything is Fine
Hibernate my veins sigh
Hibernate
But I
can't abide the flat plane
so looked to the sky
the #mountain peaks
still beckoning

actual hot take: y'all, generally speaking, are not interested in supporting BIPOC and queer authors when they are not writing about Hurt and Trauma because it's not educational to you. even if the books have BIPOC and queer casts and are in new settings.

Scout rested his face in my hand like this for over a minute, purring the whole time. He just wanted to sniff my supper while I gently supported his head. Then he left to take a nap.
