This was the right path
I thought
Followed its siren song
where there Home
carved itself out in me
rooted me to the plateauvalley
like a tree
Everything is Fine
Hibernate my veins sigh
Hibernate
But I
can't abide the flat plane
so looked to the sky
the #mountain peaks
still beckoning
#vss365
A sliver of out-of-focus blue sky visible behind a jumble of leafy green plants on a windowsill.

Warmth
Scout, a black and white furred cat, cuddles into my side on his back. His eyes are closed and he seems content. Close up of a soft pink rose dappled in raindrops.

Little details
A rain-soaked red and orange maple leaf on a sidewalk. Close up of a ladybug crawling up a wooden lamp post.

It was everyone's game;
Extended family
forming a wide berth
Close family looking outward
The dark #cloud no one's
responsibility
(That's a good word)
Responsibility
fell to the rain
grey slow-bleeding away
until suffused with colour
in sunset flames
#vss365
Clouds stretching out over a blue sky behind powerlines and the crown of a tree.

Scout rested his face in my hand like this for over a minute, purring the whole time. He just wanted to sniff my supper while I gently supported his head. Then he left to take a nap.
