All this and also puzzles! Including one by me!
Paper Airplane Vol. 4 cover by @kaitlinbrito.bsky.social: a tribute to the transportive, mind-blowing nature of reading and, simultaneously, a nod to the wildly transportive, mind-blowing prose-plume that you’ll find inside—“How the Bicycle Was Born” by @mariapopova.bsky.social

This is quite a thread, and an awfully bad look for DraftKings. I'm sure the other online gambling sites are much more ethical, though!
Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story.

For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards.

Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

In college, to a girl I didn't know very well but with whom I needed to discuss some classroom matter, I sent the following instant message:

"Are you busty?"

Followed immediately, of course, by "BUSY! Are you BUSY!!"
Ok, who has the most mortifying typo in an email/text?

Please show your work.

Well, this is random: My wife and I have made several word search books for Puzzlewright Press, and one of them, "Word Searches for Leisure," has been selected by the Almighty Amazon Algorithm to be part of a Prime Days promotion.

I'm told that this week's Patchwork puzzle is on the easy side, so maybe this is a good week to branch out from ordinary crosswords and try a new kind of variety puzzle!

I picked up a copy of the collected letters of JRR Tolkien for reasons, and this is the most bullshit table of contents I've ever seen. I'm actively angry that it exists

This is excellent. Looking forward to their rendition of "Sweet Transvestite."
This morning, the Coldstream Guards at Buckingham Palace performed a tribute to Dolly Parton.

The last time I remember the guards at the palace honoring the memory of an American entertainer was when they paid tribute to Aretha Franklin after she passed away.

Technically, "Mark Carney" is an oxymoron

If he goes through with this, the new mnemonic would be SHAME.

If I had posted this picture, "here we go again" would mean "I am making another word search."

No idea what it means in this guy's case.
Here we go again.
