Religion should stay in the private sphere where it belongs. If you have personal beliefs that guide you, fine. But when you express them in politics, governance, etc., it puts pressure on people around who don't share the same beliefs. And once a certain level has been reached, it becomes coercion.
I’m not a Christian but I’m in favor of ANYTHING that will get these perverts out of power. Religion needs to stay in its own lane not in our government. They NEVER respect the fact that millions and millions of us have other beliefs or are atheist, agnostic. Plus they use religion to hurt others.

That's debatable. For many historians, in the Soviet Union and Communist China, atheism was a useful component of political discourse, but not the central aspect of the ideology or the main justification for political action.

Although I agree that arguing won't change the mind of a believer on the fly, religion is mainly imposed by social pressure and by the consequences on one's life of not sharing the same beliefs as the majority. In the US Congress, there's literally zero open atheist. 1/x

There's actually a good argument to make about sunscreen. Theists say the universe is fine-tuned for life on Earth and ultimately for us. But if the universe is fine tuned for us, why do we have to protect ourselves from cosmic rays? We could expect a fine-tuned universe not to give us skin cancer.
