TREMORS, to me is a perfect B-movie. It's fun, it takes itself just seriously enough that you care about the characters, the parched desert photography looks great, and you can tell that the actors enjoyed doing it.

To sum up a common conversation from BSides, no, Veilid does not eliminate data centers.
It -does- reduce the amount of need however. Our E2EE, P2P, distributed protocol can move your app/users’ data from points A to B without devs requiring cloud infra.
Compute is not in scope.

The demo was well received by all who caught it! I’m very excited to work with @bbigras.bsky.social on evolving the project to be a truly production grade VPN riding on the @veilid.com network 😊

The electron is a theory we use; it is so useful in understanding the way nature works that we can almost call it real.

Last night the Sun produced a huge eruption of filament plasma. The eruption is not heading towards Earth, but certainly beautiful to watch!

Yesterday the Sun did this, and today we have the world’s largest solar telescope (the 4m diameter ‘Inouye Solar Telescope’) pointing at the same region for a few hours – as part of our solar flare observing proposal! Fingers crossed that the Sun’s fireworks continue today.
