This is why I personally contribute to pro publica, and why independent media is so critical to our democracy at this time.
I LOVE how @propublica.org dealt with official comment here, editorially and stylistically.

CBS News conveniently leaving out the pedophilia when it's a Republican. Guess Bari Weiss doesn't care if it is gay or predatory when it's GOP.

Thank you @wired.com

This is critical coverage of political oppression by Trump's ICE and Thiel's privacy invasion engine.
DHS agents not only tracked and intimidated people observing ICE activity in Maine, but stored information about them in a Palantir-built database, newly unsealed court filings say.

Stolen value indeed. The NYT should be ashamed. And ProPublica doesn't have bedbugs on their editorial team.
I’m sorry, what? This piece was not a joint publication/ reporting job (as some are). It was @propublica’s alone and the Times followed with a summary. This is so indicative of NYT. If they don’t ignore proper credit, they just go for stolen valor.

Of course Newsmax is still kissing his ass. Proving they're a propaganda outlet.
LMFAO -- Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there's no audio because the press pool isn't there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump's attacks on the press "backfiring just a little bit"
September 21, 2026 at 9:41 PM
Pay attention. Any reporter returning to the Whitehouse as press and not standing with CNN, MSNow, and Politico in defiance of Trump is a collaborator, and believes more in access and profit than the freedom of the press.

pay attention to which organizations fail to stand in solidarity for a free press.

If the White House Press Corps does anything but boycott all White House events going forward, it's a spectacular act of institutional cowardice.

Huh, I guess the whole strategy of cable news outlets not asking the Trump White House hard questions and failing to push back on weak answers in order to preserve their access to the Trump White House wasn't much of a great strategy.

The Supreme Court's "shadow docket" allows justices to effectively make rulings in secret without explaining their decisions.

Is it any wonder why so many do not trust the Roberts court?
