I started volunteering at the shelter. I help clean the men’s dorms every morning. It’s standard janitorial stuff: sweep & mop floors, take out trash, clean sinks & toilets, restock soap & toilet paper, etc. Last night the towel guy was missing, so I stepped in to help with that.

An office chair sits in front of the desk. Shelving on the right holds various items, including the few remaining towels for the night. There’s a corkboard on the left with an inventory tracking sheet. Beyond the window the start of the restroom area xan be seen - a sink and mirror are visible against a wall, an electrical outlet, and the top tip of a trash can. The opposite view, looking into the room from outside the window. There’s a small pile of used bedding piled on the floor in the corner. The wooden countertop at the bottom of the window is more visible from this angle. Inside the window the shelving with towels can be seen again. Beyond it are green metal racks, almost empty. 4 tied black trash bags with bedding inside are on the wracks, some with illegible names written on masking tape.

It was my #Twitch affiliate anniversary a couple days ago; I completely forgot about it. Hard to believe it's been a year already.

I'll be streaming tomorrow with more updates for my #MMORPG! The demo is still coming along; hoping to have a recording or at least more screenshots to share!

There's a personally meaningful gaming anniversary today: the 40th since the release of Binary Systems' Starflight.

Starflight is one of the great early free-roaming space exploration games that laid the template for many more after it. Very much the Mass Effect of its time.
