Very eye opening 🧵
Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story.

For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards.

Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

All this nauseating bleating from City fans,”don’t punish us”.
How many Wembley finals did you have that should have gone to others? How many Champions League nights? You’ve cheated for years, everyone knew it and no one could say because you’d threaten to sue or make farcical accusations of racism.

Looking at Trump's situation in the US and his increasing desperation and the hordes of masked thugs on the streets of the UK, I'd say the next 6 months could be pivotal. Can we all stop the 'Burnam's a breath of fresh air' bullshit. There's a vital job to do and he's not doing it. Not even close.

Seems the difference between ‘protestors’ and ‘terrorists’ is that protestors wear balaclavas while terrorists hold placards.

His goals against Chels, 115, Madrid r unforgettable.

I'm finding the whole king of the north thing a bit confusing. So far he's bit his tongue while the far right terrorises refuges and revealed that his grand plan to tackle the climate emergency is to discourage BBQs. Hardly the statesmen we'd been primed to expect.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social @sturdyalex.bsky.social Flag update. Almost every lamppost in Aldershot (home of the British army) has had a flag on it since last summer. In the last week then council has taken them down and replaced them with poppies.

If this is so, it surely follows that X should now be considered a threat to national security.
More than half of accounts posting about violence in Belfast & Southampton on X were based overseas.

Only 4 of the 12 most-seen posts were from the UK.

X is now "“a weapon of choice” for hostile foreign actors seeking to manipulate shocking & divisive content".

No nothing journalists pontificating about lockdown then getting precious when medical professionals point out they don't know what they're talking about is reminding me of this cartoon. There is a public inquiry they could refer to if they could be bothered. That fact they can't speeks volumes.
