This is probably closer to what the Peacock "Traitors" gets per episode than you'd think. The big minutes watched total in streaming ratings doesn't *necessarily* mean a giant per-episode audience, especially since the Nielsen streaming numbers include watch time for every episode of a show.
It’s early and these numbers WILL go up with Big Data adjustments, and then up again in multiplatform ratings with Peacock viewing, but, per Nielsen:
THE TRAITORS: NEW BLOOD got murdered in its NBC debut. First hour did 2.3M; second was 1.7M. 2M for the night.
Demo better—0.30—but not great.

About goddam time, and this is a good thing for what little transparency there is in the streaming world.
BIG news from the world of streaming ratings: Nielsen is speeding up how quickly it reports SVOD ratings, and has also added in new daily reporting of data. The month-long lag for streaming Nielsen numbers is a thing of the past. My scoop over at @vulture.com:

Early ratings for the Emmys are down about 10% from the comparable number last year on CBS. Which is about what you'd expect since CBS consistently draws the biggest audience in the 4-network rotation.

The "60 Minutes" premiere was down 21% from last year's debut … and its lead-in NFL game was down 22% year to year. The overhaul of "60 Minutes" was craven and dumb, but the smaller lead-in was probably the main cause of (this week's) ratings hit.

OK so:
- Better than last year, for sure! But uneven and I'd have sacrificed a sketch or two to have the bumped categories put back in.
- "Widow's Bay" is mostly sweeping the comedy field, but the others have been more open. Voters seemed to watch more than 5 shows this year.

Two things I hope for from the Emmys *as a TV show*:
- That they don't try something like the horrible acceptance speech fund gimmick last year.
- More than 3 or 4 shows win awards.
Guessing the (same as last year) producers learned a lesson on 1. Not holding my breath for 2, given recent history.

So I think Apple is officially gonna have the most Emmys this year. It's gonna win best comedy too, most likely, and there aren't enough categories left for any other network/streamer to catch it.

This FX promo reminds me that the extremely Emmy-snubbed "The Lowdown" is back in about a month, which is plenty of time for you to watch or rewatch the fantastic first season.
