Having reviewed the first three "Monster" installments, I was not unhappy that the Ryan Murphy Chore Wheel landed on Angie for this one.
This entire anthology/franchise was already reprehensible garbage before this season.

Look, all I'm saying is that if Amy Sherman Palladino got Ella Rubin to play Young Lorelai and Carrie Coon to play Younger Emily and Jake Lacy to play Younger Richard (the ages don't EXACTLY work, but I don't care), I would watch a six-episode "Gilmore Girls" prequel limited series.
Carole King's "Where You Lead" came on the radio, and I had a premonition that someone will try to make a Gilmore Girls prequel series, about a pregnant teenage Lorelai arriving in Stars Hollow, moving into the inn's storage closet, and being cared for by the town. The title? GILMORE GIRL.

It was, as I said in my review (www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-review...) a thoroughly bland episode. The episode gave CBS *nothing* to promote, which is also Bari Weiss' fault, but it's Bari Weiss' fault in a way that's different from what the drop is being attributed to.
The "60 Minutes" premiere was down 21% from last year's debut … and its lead-in NFL game was down 22% year to year. The overhaul of "60 Minutes" was craven and dumb, but the smaller lead-in was probably the main cause of (this week's) ratings hit.

The Sept. 13 episode was the first after CBS News chief Bari Weiss made a host of changes to the show.

It was, as I said in my review (www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-review...) a thoroughly bland episode. The episode gave CBS *nothing* to promote, which is also Bari Weiss' fault, but it's Bari Weiss' fault in a way that's different from what the drop is being attributed to.

I can't help but blame Christopher Nolan for trimming the essential hubris from "The Odyssey," else Casey Bloys would know better than to keep happily stabbing much of his audience in the eye without the restraint to at least claim his name is "Nobody."

I'm old enough to remember when they started playing Rhea Seehorn off because they wanted to keep the show running tight.
So… that was a terrible, terrible television show in which some good things happened.

It's a flex if they decide to just end the show 10 minutes early. One last nod to how little connection the #Emmys have to broadcast television and its prescribed rhythms.

So the strategy was... Give as many awards as possible in an hour and then make people cry for two hours and forget that there were actually awards being handed out. This is not a criticism. It's just a general pondering of approach. #Emmys

Reminder: It is *inexcusable* that the Oscars have moved the lifetime achievement awards out of the main telecast. There is no reasonable justification for not having a moment like that Michael J. Fox moment at EVERY award show.
