Checking out a new social media site.
Trying to get away from toxicity.
Why can I not upload a picture for my profile?
Oh, because I love that white in blue so much I'm leaving it.🤦

Love that my opponent is trying to paint me as someone who wants political violence and meanwhile her party is going to execute someone on live tv (after already murdering multiple citizens in the streets and fishermen in boats)

These people are sadistic voyeurs.
They probably have watch parties of school shootings.

Watching a murder documentary and it opens with "I grew up in a safe place" and I'm thinking, then why is there a murder documentary about where you grew up?

Road Salt of the Earth kind of guy.
Like it or not this what Maine Guys actually sound like. Might sound like shit to you, but this is a Meryl Streep-level performance for guys from Maine with this voice and personality.
SUSAN COLLINS: I was successful in getting road salt removed from the Canada tariff list

TROY JACKSON: What about everything else? We can't eat road salt

If every time you "reach across" the "partisan divide", you pull back a bloody stump where your hand used to be, the shortcomings and naivete of this strategy become evident.
The best cure for ideological bias is find someone on the other side and go to lunch with them.⁣

Ministry of Truthers
For years we've heard that Biden created a "Ministry of Truth," which didn't actually happen. But, I still hear people talking about it. But then Trump directed his FCC boss to be a literal Minister of Truth and the story disappeared within a day or two.

What are we even doing here?
Trump Orders The FCC To Punish A Reporter. Where Did All The ‘Ministry Of Truth’ Screamers Go?

Remember the Disinformation Governance Board? As we were quick to point...

There are nights where you can't just listen, you have to be engaged.

A lot of guys don't get that.

I don't know how we get back from rewarding people financially and emotionally for sound bites and posts.

It's kind of at the heart of the implosion.

I don't think you can even blame Social Media, I think it was just the result of what was already desired from what was already happening.

Damn, that man can't handle the heat so bad he couldn't even make it to the kitchen to get the fck out of it.
Q: Mr Sununu, would you have voted for a war powers resolution in the Senate?

JOHN SUNUNU:🚶🚶🚶

Q: Would you admit that Trump’s war was a bad decision, or are you just going to do everything that Trump tells you to do?

"We built a complex computer virus and we can't turn it off or contain it anymore and it's probably gonna shut a bunch of stuff down like Stuxnet did to the Iranian centrifuges."

If Dems take the House and Senate his numbers will improve.
Especially with the way the media covers Trump breaking the law and violating the constitution.
Trump's net approval has now sunk to -27, with absolutely no sign of the trend reversing. What will it look like in two years as we approach the next presidential election?

I truly believe when you break down AI it'll just be a giant computer virus that stores information on random servers and computers and will eventually just start turning stuff off because Stuxnet.

You work with databases.
You have to query the database.
Wouldn't it be easier to write a program that can use laymen's terms to query a humongous ever expanding database?
Yes. Would it be cool if it was also a worm that rearranges things on your computer?
Yes.
It's a virus on a loop.
I don't understand what is confusing about this. Until recently, you could look at computers and say "Look, they're nothing like us, they're calculators, we can complete many intellectual tasks they never could." Easy, practical distinction in capabilities.

Now it's getting much harder to say that.

No, it doesn't, but someone who doesn't alt text their images is the same kind of person who thinks psychosurgery jokes are "funny".

I was watching a doc on Woodstock '99 the other day and it clicked that the mentality of that crowd is the mentality of a lot of people in this country right now.

No reflection of "what did we just do" more "everyone else made us do it because they wouldn't cater to our every whim of the moment"
Again, it’s not just that this Tesla asshole killed a mother and her child with his recklessness.

It’s that as his victims were dying, he did nothing to help them and instead sat scrolling through his phone.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

I got on a kick about this a few days ago.

A lot of people who worked for companies or institutions that helped build Stuxnet are in the industry now.

Plus, the more I think about how Cowork and the like works, the more I'm reminded of viruses and software patches through torrents and the like.
You know what's missing from the AI fears discussion?
Stuxnet and NotPetya

If you're familiar with those cyberweapons, then software that autonomously spreads, messes up computer systems, and ends up acting in ways beyond its creators' intentions or control isn't a brand new shock.
