The deer parks in Ashton Court Estate have been continuously in use since at least the 15th century and they may have existed in some form as early as the 1100s.

Flying is officially on course to account for *almost all* the UK's carbon dioxide emissions by 2050. Heathrow expansion alone would cause more carbon emissions by 2054 than *any other sector of the economy*. So why is it being contemplated? My column.

The expansion of Heathrow would be an expensive disaster for Britain and the world. Burnham needs to block it | George Monbiot
A third runway would fly in the face of reason. If we are to prioritise human life over short-term ‘growth’, we need to use planes less, not more, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

A spectral black dog, believed to be a witch, Moll Bloxham, once haunted Warwick Castle. Moll was angry that her concession for selling the castle’s surplus dairy produce had been withdrawn.

After an exorcism the dog leapt from Caesar’s Tower into the river 🧵

I forgot to Chelsea chop my sedums this year. Nor did I string them together to prevent them flopping. Never mind, they are still putting on a show and the bees have enjoyed them. 🌱

them to leave but after hearing bangs & crashes they rushed back in to see a black pigeon
