Notice: I'm struggling this month with chronic illness flare-up, mental health, and my personal + org bank accounts being shut down. All very distressing.

Won't be posting/responding much.

I want to be honest about the hard stuff, not just the highlights. Thanks for understanding 💜

"Like all chronic conditions, you could spend a lot of money on trying to find a fix: supplements, acupuncture, hypnosis, antidepressants (not as a cure but a way to cope). But the most common advice is to just try to ignore it. To learn to live with it."

Huge climate demonstration i Stockholm today. Media report at least 50 000 while organisers say between 50000-100000 people. This is ahead of elactions in september in which most parties have totally ignored the climate issue in favour of law and order and racist immigration policies…

The Economist personal hit pieces are surely just embarrassing for them.

What is it about wealth taxes, rent controls and water nationalisation that they're so keen to stop progress?

It's time to tackle the climate crisis & end Rip Off Britain.

1/ 🚨New piece out co-authored with Ben Shread-Hewitt on the EU's adaptation framework and the risk of a 3°C world.

Planning for 3°C doesn't make it survivable. But it makes it seem so. Here's a 🧵on some key points.

Thanks @climate-risk.bsky.social for publishing this article.

The UK Gvt is forcing through data centres against wishes of local communities and regardless of environmental impact. We must resist. Imposing one on the vibrant community in Brick Lane is shocking.
Meta tried to build a 200-megawatt data centre on farmland in Zeewolde. Twice the electricity of the entire town.

20 rebels occupied the council. "We want Greta, not Meta."

They won, and then the Dutch banned hyperscale centres over 70MW. Direct action works!

A first year above 2C in the mid-2030s now looks plausible.

0.5C was first passed in 1980, 1.0C in 2010 and 1.5C in 2024.

The 15-year trend runs at 0.42C per decade.

The 2026 and 2027 points for the current El Nino are estimates.

We're not remotely ready!

Those in power have knowingly set in motion the destruction of civilisation, and anyone who responds with adaptation, technical fixes, or managed decline instead of revolution is complicit in the mass death that is now locked in.

3,400 people die on a single extremely hot day in India. 30,000 in 5 days. Most of the poor aren't even counted.

The study calls that a conservative estimate.

Mass death is here. My heart is breaking.

“Worse than expected” appeared 10+ times in just five months of climate news in 2026.

Emissions 15% higher than reported. Sea level rise affecting 68% more people than modelled. Amazon tipping point arriving sooner than projected.

The models were always conservative. This is uncharted territory.
