There WILL BE less people like Patrick Stewart or Dolly Parton, given widening wealth inequality, loss of jobs in creative sector, austerity, privatisation of education (especially arts) & financial exclusion. Art of the near future will be less diverse & restricted to the privileged few.

- for best results use primer and sealant
- over time you figure out the areas where the expensive stuff is worth it but mostly the cheap stuff is fine
- sometimes you gotta wipe it all off & start over, it happens

It is, admittedly, pretty funny how similar it seems learning makeup is to learning mini painting

I painted a bunch of my brother's HQ minis but I was always conflicted about the Gargoyle. It's called a gargoyle, so it should be made out of stone, like on that one book cover. However, it is also clearly a Bloodthirster-type of thing given another form, and I wanted to paint is as such.

My first encounter with Patrick Stewart was the first X-Men movie, and the perfect casting of him as Charles Xavier. How he echoed kindness, understanding and empathy in that role. And I think he did some of his best work as Xavier in Logan. It's a messy franchise, but I loved seeing him as Xavier.
