I've long canceled every mainstream streaming service because frankly the business model is just unreasonable. It's being induced to pay for things you don't actually use and getting tied up in deals that keep getting changed arbitrarily.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

(i) unleashing transphobia in light red state races is needed to win
(ii) most people who are pro trans rights will be okay with it as long as other Dems say very basic stuff in defense of trans people

When I talk about AI I pretty much always am referring to LLMs, because that’s what AI generally means in the common vernacular.
When people talk about “AI was used in this paper” you should always pop the hood and investigate. You will always find either non-LLM Machine Learning, or a bad paper.

I don’t have any interest in AI “gains”, which are really just a blend of exploited global south labor and creative accounting, not an actual input-output ratio improvement.
