I'm a complicated being. I love rugby, music, art and local history and don't much like clothes! I also have Aphantasia. Hampshire UK.

Despite being retired I fill my days with lots of things.

BIG NEWS: Today I’m excitedly launching The Small Ideas Initiative. We want you to submit ideas for non-controversial fixes, e.g “live sewage updates for beaches” or “standardised allergen menus” to turn into proper policy. Full info here... blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2026/10/mart...

We're watching a programme called Winter, where a "doctor" diagnosed a pneumothorax and then carried out a tracheostomy. At least do your bloody homework!

The BBC seem to have changed. They seem more pro-Tory now than pro-Reform. Maybe they're just anti-Labour and will climb on whatever bandwagon they think will meet their aims?

I hate this time of year. the days are getting shorter and colder and the TV companies take the opportunity to fill the schedules with lowest common denominator "celebrity" crap! Thank goodness for streaming services.

This German comedy sketch (with English subtitles) perfectly captures so much of what is going on right now in the UK, the US, and across Europe.

One of the main causes of GHG emissions is animal farming - methane from animal digestion & manure & carbon dioxide from deforestation for grazing land.

One easy step you can take, to make a sizeable impact - switch to a plant-based diet 🌱

Should a naturist care about nature? Or is it just two words containing the same letters? If so, does caring for the planet mean taking fewer flights? eating less meat? Interested to hear people's thoughts.

It's Sunday morning and I haven't worn clothes since Friday when I popped to the shop. It will come as a culture shock when I have to put some on later. I'm dreading the colder weather and I have to put on more than just shorts and t-shirt.

✍️ Want to understand the bonkers nature of the modern economy?
Take a ride with me on the 30,000 mile journey the cod in a fish finger takes between being caught off the coast of Scotland and consumed in a British home 🤯
Promise I'm not making this up👇

The 30,000-mile fish finger
There’s a good chance the cod on your child’s plate has been around the world and back. Not that you’d learn any of that from the label...

Can we normalise admitting that most people do in fact buy their meat from factory farms? No one says they do, but if that were true, factory farming wouldn’t exist.

We've been away for a few days with our granddaughters. So nice to be back home on a Monday so I can be properly undressed.

It's also well-known that animal agriculture uses VASTLY more water (and energy, land, etc.) than plant-based food systems.
