I think a new industry stabdard should be the "12 Gauge Veto". Every time a publisher leans on a dev team to do some bullshit, the dev team has one shotgun shell they can use per quarter to deliver a very clear response.

Have we collectively just forgot 'Boots' theory? If I can only afford a £30 pair of boots, they may only last a year or two and probably start leaking after the first. If I can drop £100 on a pair of really good boots, they'll last me 5+ years and stay dry all the time.
I don't think $30k is a life-changing amount of money.

I don't think I'll ever have kids, but there are a lot of kids in my life and to think that there are people who bring life into this world and NOT put their whole ass into lifting that child up and nourishing them body mind and soul makes me want to hit those people with a FUCKING TRUCK.
