Kids are rioting for the right to be educated with dignity, in buildings that are maintained, for their teachers to be sufficiently supported, and for a hopeful future — and not to be gassed by police when they ask? The kids, I tell you, are ok. The grown-ups, however, have some soul-searching to do

Realizing the extent to which this is true wildly changed my opinions about how to deal with Trumpism, since they're never going to be satisfied unless they're actively dominating everyone else. You can't give them some concessions and go back to the status quo: they're reactionary revolutionaries.
Antebellum politics is fascinating, the South kept getting policy concessions and whipped themselves up into a paranoid rage anyway, essentially because they couldn't stand being culturally judged for having slaves

Two coyote teens run around and have fun - from when our pond had more water. Those are some big, moss-covered logs.

- Will you commit to separation of commercial and regulatory powers?
- Will you commit to a needs-based independently audited redistribution model?

(Answer: no, they won't because this isn't about reform, it's about power.)

The lies MAGA told about Burisma and Hunter Biden are nothing compared to what the Trumps are doing in plain sight, yet none of the people who pretended to care about corruption linked to Burisma have said anything about Trump obviously being bribed by Putin.

Trump Russia was always the main story.
Counterintelligence experts told us it’s no secret Russia has long been trying to penetrate the Trump family inner circle, so a Putin-linked oligarch bankrolling Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding raised all sorts of red flags.
