This is hard! Because dippers are one of my absolute faves. But I also love pied flycatchers. Both are birds that are not very well known. So maybe we should give them a little push? #vogeldesjahres

When a good and decent person leaves this world, I think the best thing we can do to honor them is to try to put even more goodness and decency into the world. It's not that we can replace them or their contribution. It's just that we need it all the more now that they're gone.
